Fly fishing in Bosnia is all about variety. Within a relatively small area, anglers can experience crystal-clear spring creeks, freestone rivers, technical sight fishing and some of the finest wild grayling and brown trout fishing in the Balkans.
Our team has spent decades fishing and guiding these waters, with each of our guides bringing more than 20 years of experience on Bosnia’s rivers. That local knowledge allows us to understand the rivers, hatches and fish behaviour throughout the season. When conditions change, we know where to go, what techniques to use and how to give our guests the best possible opportunity to find quality fish.
We fish several of Bosnia’s renowned rivers, including the Ribnik, Sana, Pliva, Una,Sanica,Dabar and Vrbas, choosing the river and approach according to current conditions and your fishing experience.
From delicate dry-fly and sight fishing for wild grayling and brown trout to winter fishing for the mighty hucho, our goal is to provide a personal fishing experience built around wild fish, beautiful rivers and knowledgeable guiding.

Each river offers a different experience. Anglers can enjoy dry fly and sight fishing for wild grayling and brown trout, explore clear waters holding large rainbow trout, or take on the challenge of chasing Hucho hucho in Bosnia’s larger rivers. With so many different waters located within a relatively small area, we can choose the river and fishing style according to the season, current conditions and your experience.

Ive got to say the team were absolutely brilliant. I was picked up from the airport on time and delivered to the Ribnik without any problems, the driver was a great chap and we we had a good laugh! I was met the next day by the Misty team and my allocated Guide was Djoro a very experienced local angler who knew all the tricks and secrets of the local rivers. We fished hard for three days catching up to over 80 fish a day with dry fly and euro nymping was absolutely deadly. We ate nice food and drunk beers in the evenings ive made friends for life with team misty.. I would highly recommend anyone that wants to have the best experience with local guides and out of hours access to there fully stocked fly shop Misty Adventures are no1!
Saša and Mladen are exceptionally good guides. Very nice persons, great experience in fly fishing, and good understanding of people. Always gives you the exact amount of attention during fishing. They are both great in spotting fish and letting you know how you should fish for them. One learns a lot with them during a day fishing, even if you’ve fly-fished for half a century. I would recommend them to anyone irrespective of their experience in flyfishing
We had some great days fishing on the Ribnik River. The fishing was excellent, and the guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had a really enjoyable experience. It was a memorable trip, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
