Fly Fishing One of Bosnia’s Most Beautiful Rivers

CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATERS, WILD FISH & SPECTACULAR NATURE
The Una River is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most spectacular rivers, flowing through breathtaking landscapes and the Una National Park. Known for its crystal-clear water, waterfalls and untouched nature, the Una is widely considered one of the most beautiful rivers in Bosnia.
Although the Una is a very long river, the upper sections are particularly interesting for fly fishing. Here, clear water, wild surroundings and diverse river structure create excellent conditions for anglers looking for both technical fishing and the opportunity to explore a truly remarkable river.
The Una is a large and varied river, with alternating riffles, long glides, deep pools and faster sections. This diversity allows anglers to use many different fly fishing techniques. During good hatches, dry fly fishing can provide exciting opportunities, while nymphs and streamers allow anglers to explore deeper pools and faster water.
The river holds grayling, brown trout and rainbow trout, giving anglers the opportunity to target several species during a single fishing day. Combined with the waterfalls, exceptionally clear water and dramatic scenery of the Una valley, fly fishing the Una is as much about experiencing the river and its surroundings as it is about catching fish.
