BEST TIME OF THE DAY : Morning and evening

HATCHES: Ants, midges, smaller mayflies in the evening.

MOST PRODUCTIVE TECHNIQUE: Euro nymphing , indicator nymphing , dry fly.

PATTERNS: Dry flies – Ants (size #18 – #22) , yellow and olive emerger (size #18 – #20) , grey cat caddis (size #16) , CDC Upwing yellow (size #18 – #20) Nymphs – Pheasant tails (size #18 – #20) , olive cat nymph (size #18 – #20) , black perdigon (size #18)

TACTICS: Euro nymphing was very productive in faster riffles, where the most of the fish is concentrated because of very hot weather. Big graylings are in the fastest riffles, but also in deeper pools . Fishing with 2 nymphs , not too heavy since the bottom is covered with algae , so it is not good if they are dragging too much on the bottom . Covering the water with dry fly was also productive, especially ants , with mostly smaller graylings rising. In the evening there is solid dry fly activity , but mostly in the last 1hour before the dark. Bigger fish were also rising in the evening , especially in the flats.
